Dr. Albert Boaitey is an agricultural economist with an international profile of academic and research appointments spanning Ghana, Canada, the US and the UK. He is currently a lecturer in Global Agri-Food Supply Chains at the Centre for Rural Economy (CRE), Newcastle University. He holds an Msc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Alberta,Canada where he was an inaugural Teaching Fellow at the Peter Lougheed Leadership College. Prior to joining the CRE, he was an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, USA. He has researched and published in the areas of food marketing, sustainable business and supply chains. He is the host of Nimde3 Talk a podcast that seeks to amplify uniquely African narratives and sits on a number of boards including the CRE board, Let’s Go Africa Foundation, and the AFN+ Network Early Career Researcher board.
